Introduction

Temple Beth Shalom has a wonderful program for all of our congregation’s college students who are away at school. “College Connection” is a way for our community to reach out to remind them that – even while they are away from home – they still have a very special connection to their temple “home.”

Through the “College Connection” program Temple Beth Shalom reaches out in a number of ways.

• Sending weekly “Shabbat Shalom!” e-mails from our rabbis
• Sending special holiday care packages sent for Rosh Hashanah, Chanukah, and Passover
• Sponsoring a special “College Homecoming Shabbat” during the weekend of Thanksgiving
• Sharing via e-mail great Jewish student opportunities or important information that we think might be of interest to our students

College Connection has been a wonderful success. We look forward to expanding the program in the coming year and years to make it even more meaningful for our community.
