Fall Membership Dinner

Fall/Spring Rummage Sales
Clean out those closets and donate your items to our fundraiser which provides a great service to our temple community as well as to the community at large. The proceeds support our work and programming throughout the year.
Brotherhood/Sisterhood Event

Mah Jongg Tournament

Women’s Seder
Each year our members provide a moving Passover Seder led by women and focused on women’s role in the Passover story.
Lilith Salons
Don’t want to be committed to a book club? Join one of our Lilith Salons. This is an opportunity to meet with other women to discuss articles from LILITH, independent Jewish women’s quarterly magazine. Lilith Salons bring women of all ages together to address issues raised by this exciting magazine.
Senior Luncheon
Sisterhood volunteers serve a catered lunch to senior residents of the Needham Community. A choir from the Needham Senior Center then entertains the guests for a wonderful afternoon of connecting with the community.
Donor Dinner
Our spring fundraising dinner wraps up the year of events with good food, time to mingle, and a brief bit of business. Entertainment, raffles and boutiques add to the fun of the evening.
Spirituality Retreat
For the past 10 years, Sisterhood has offered a weekend retreat to the women of Temple Beth Shalom. Facilitated by Jewish communal professionals, the retreat provides opportunities for the sisters, mothers, daughters, grandmothers, wives and partners in our congregation to come together in celebration, in prayer, in study and in relaxation. Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ) Assembly/Northeast District Biennial
On alternating years, WRJ holds its Assembly and the Northeast District holds its Biennial where members of Sisterhoods, from as far away as Israel and as near as Eastern Canada, gather to study, share ideas, pray together and form friendships that can last a lifetime.
