Teen Choir

The TBS Teen Choir is new this year. It is open to singers in grades 6-12. The choir was formed in response to requests from 5th graders to continue their participation in temple choir. Currently there are 10 regular members of the choir, with a few additional teens joining us for some of our events. We are always welcoming new voices!

Our repertoire includes a variety of traditional Shabbat songs as well as many other Hebrew and English melodies by composers such as Debbie Friedman, Craig Taubman, Rich Recht, Lisa Levine, and Jeff Klepper. There are opportunities for part-singing, solos, and instrument playing as well.

Through participation in the Teen Choir, our kids deepen their love for Jewish music, nurture special friendships, and strengthen their connection to TBS and the larger Jewish community. They stretch themselves musically while having a lot of fun performing and celebrating with each other.
