Annual Events

Membership Dinner
We welcome both our new members as well as returning members at a special dinner held each Fall. It is an evening to socialize, make new friends, and learn about the upcoming events for the year.  We invite new members to attend as our guests.

Fall/Spring Rummage Sales
Clean out those closets and donate your items to our fundraiser which provides a great service to our temple community as well as to the community at large. The proceeds support our work and programming throughout the year.

Games Night
Join us for one or all three casual night(s) of playing games – Mah Jongg, Canasta, Bananagrams and whatever other games you would like to play. Come have fun and play with your sisters (open to non-members too).

Boston Jewish Film Festival
Attend one of the BJJF movies with your sisters after gathering for a casual dinner together.

Brotherhood/Sisterhood Event
Brotherhood and Sisterhood work together to provide an evening of entertainment and fun.

Book Group
Join us for our first book group in January. Stay tuned for the announcement of the book!

Women’s Seder
Experience a beautiful Women's Seder focused on women's roles in the Passover story. Led by Rabbi Michele Lenke and Emily Perlman, this pot luck Seder is a great way to have a meaningful experience as well as try the delicious Passover recipes of your Sisterhood friends!

Lilith Salons
Don’t want to be committed to a book club? Join one of our Lilith Salons. This is an opportunity to meet with other women to discuss articles from LILITH, independent Jewish women’s quarterly magazine. Lilith Salons bring women of all ages together to address issues raised by this exciting magazine.

Donor Dinner
Our spring fundraising dinner wraps up the year of events with good food, time to mingle, and a brief bit of business. Entertainment, and raffles add to the fun of the evening.

Spirituality Retreat
For the past 19 years, Sisterhood has offered a weekend retreat to the women of Temple Beth Shalom. Facilitated by our own Rabbi Michele Lenke and Emily PErlman, the retreat provides opportunities for members to come togethet with new and old friends in celebration of Shabbat. It's a wonderfull weekend of prayer, study, relaxation and fun!  For more information, click here.

Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ) Assembly/Northeast District Biennial
On alternating years, WRJ holds its Assembly and the Northeast District holds its Biennial where members of Sisterhoods, from as far away as Israel and as near as Eastern Canada, gather to study, share ideas, pray together and form friendships that can last a lifetime.
