On October 25th at 6:15 pm, join us for a special Shabbat service marking one year since the tragedy at Pittsburgh's Tree of Life synagogue. This service is part of the international movement #ShowUpforShabbat, a project of the American Jewish Committee to encourage Jews and people of other faiths to come together to raise our collective voices against antisemitism, hate, and bigotry (learn more at https://www.ajc.org/showupforshabbat). We will be joined by State Senator Rebecca Rausch and offer special memorial prayers and readings.
On October 27, 2019 at 5:00 pm EST, the community in Pittsburgh will join in a public memorial service to remember those who were injured and killed in the horrific attack at Tree of Life synagogue one year ago. Though we cannot all be there in person, the Pittsburgh community invites our friends from around the world to share in a collective moment of remembrance.
Sign up at this link (https://pausewithpittsburgh.com/) to receive a text message at 5:00 pm that will contain a video with a mourning prayer and the names of the 11 people who lost their lives. There will also be an opportunity to send messages to the Jewish community of Pittsburgh via text.
