Lorena thought her troubles were over after she and her children, Silvia and Daniel, broke free from domestic abuse. But bad luck followed her from Guatemala to Waltham. Doctors discovered tumors that required removal. During surgery, Lorena's intestine was accidentally perforated. This error necessitated additional surgery to permanently remove the damaged portion of her intestine. Lorena's condition and recuperation prevents her from keeping up with her family's expenses and needs.
