Join us for a service of memorial and healing marking the first yahrzeit of the October 7th attack.  Our gathering will include the sharing Israeli music by Israeli musicians, traditional memorial prayers for those killed on October 7th and since that day, prayers on behalf of the hostages, words of reflection by Israelis, special poetry, words from Needham’s Interfaith Clergy, and comfort brought by being together with our TBS community.  Light refreshments will follow. Amid ongoing heartache and devastation, CJP — alongside the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston, the Israeli-American Council (IAC), the Consulate General of Israel to New England, and synagogues and partners across Greater Boston — invites you and our entire community to commemorate the first anniversary of October 7 together.  

The traumas of this past year have impacted each one of us differently and we don’t know what will unfold between now, October 7, and even beyond. But this evening will give us the opportunity to be with one another, and to grieve as a community. 

The event will feature stories from those most directly affected on or by October 7, music to heal our souls, inspiring speakers to remind us of the resilient spirit of Israel and Israelis, and opportunities to mourn, honor survivors and heroes, and fill one another with strength and hope for our collective future.  

Tickets are non-transferable and seating is general admission/first come, first served. You must register with CJP to get a ticket, and register separately to take the bus from TBS into Boston. The event is now sold out and CJP is taking names for a waiting list. If you already have your tickets, you can still sign up to travel with TBS!
