Torah Sewing Workshop
Sunday, June 11, 2:00 pm
Calling experienced stitchers! Join us for a special workshop to sew together some of the completed sheets of parchment that make up our new Torah. Since a Torah is made of completely natural materials, the sheets of parchment are hand-sewn using a kosher needle and giddim (animal sinew). Demonstration, instruction, and hands-on practice with these unusual materials will be included in the session. Open to teens and adults. Some sewing experience preferred.
