Days for Girls

Sisterhood is meeting monthly to work on a social action project called Days for Girls.  DFG is an international organization that provides girls from impoverished countries with a feminine hygiene kit that is reusable and lasts for 3 years. This kit allows girls to go to school during their periods instead of being forced to stay at home and miss 25% of their education.  Many of these girls drop out of school because they end up being so far behind due to missed days. Sewers and non-sewers welcome to work on this exciting project!  For more information, contact Susan Patkin suspatkin@gmail.com or Sarah Fleckner sarahfleckner@gmail.com.

Spirituality Retreat

For the past 19 years, Sisterhood has offered a weekend retreat to the women of Temple Beth Shalom. The retreat provides opportunities for members to come together with new and old friends in celebration of Shabbat. It's a wonderfull weekend of prayer, study, relaxation and fun!

Coming in Fall of 2019

If you are looking for a way to recharge your social, spiritual and creative batteries in a Jewish setting and like the idea of getting away for a weekend of learning, laughter, creativity, worship and song with a fabulous group of women, then look no further. The women of Sisterhood have a unique opportunity for you – join us for our annual Spirituality weekend retreat. This is our time to share our stories, make new friends and reconnect with old friends. We learn together about modern rituals and ancient texts as we stretch our bodies and our minds.
