Guess the Gelt

How much gelt is in our jar? Stop by the Welcome Desk to submit a guess! The winner will be announced Friday, December 8 at the Community Chanukah Dinner. Enter to win a $180 donation to the tzedakah of your choice, plus all the gelt. It’ll be a miracle if it lasts all 8 days!

Babies Explore Chanukah
9:30 - 10:15 am

Come explore the light of the season with your baby! We will experiment with light, build, and create. Questions? Contact Ellen Dietrick.

Sunday, December 17 (new date)
Dreidel Hunt | 9:45am-1:30pm

How many dreidels can you find? Hunt for 1,000+ colorful dreidels hidden all around the field. Find the golden dreidel to win a piece of gelt! Dress warmly and bring the entire family for your 15 minute hunting time. Rain cancels.

Latkes, Laughs & Lights -
Sisterhood Chanukah Party | 6:30 PM

Join us for a fun-filled evening with your TBS Sisterhood friends. Enjoy appetizers, latkes, desserts, drinks and more!  BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND…The White Elephant Swap - a re-gift gift exchange! We’ll be playing our unique spin (pun intended) on a really fun party game (participation is optional).

Cocktail Hour | 6:30 PM
Zamir Chanukah Concert | 7:30 PM

Enjoy a lovely cocktail hour before the concert for appetizers, drinks, and connecting with community. You are welcome to attend both the cocktail hour and the concert or either event on its own.

Join us as we light the first night’s Chanukah candles with The Zamir Chorale of Boston! Back by popular demand, Zamir - whose choristers include TBS's own Alli Aaron, DJ Fortine, and Liana Perlman - will present a program featuring 75 years of music from Israel and a musical celebration of the first night of Chanukah.

We encourage you to make a suggested donation of $18 per person to help us bring more great musical opportunities like this to TBS in the future!

Tot Shabbat Services | 5:15 PM

Tot Shabbat for Families with Young Children includes a pre-service snack and a sweet Oneg after.  No registration required.

Shabbat Services | 6:15pm

Experience a light-filled Shabbat evening service for the entire community.

Chanukah Community Dinner | 7:30pm

Celebrate Chanukah with our monthly TBS Community Dinner following evening services. We will have a delicious dinner, activities, a sufganiyot (donut) making station, and a community candle lighting so bring your favorite Chanukah menorah. Free and open to all members.

Saturday, December 9
Teddy Bear Chanukah | 9 AM

Choose a teddy bear (or other doll or stuffie) and celebrate with us! Teach your teddy all about Chanukah in our dramatic play centers as we cook up pretend latkes, set the table for a special holiday dinner, and light the candles. Then create a menorah play kit to add to your dramatic play space at home.

Supporting Those in Need 

This holiday season, Temple Beth Shalom is partnering with Birthday Wishes, an organization that supports children experiencing homelessness. Please bring to TBS during Chanukah or send directly to Birthday Wishes an unwrapped gift for a child in need selected from their Amazon Wish List.
