In the wake of the crisis unfolding in Israel, it feels even more important to invite you join TBS, HIAS (originally the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society), and congregations across the country for our Sixth Annual Refugee Shabbat. Refugee Shabbat is our opportunity to recognize the profound impact of the global Jewish movement working on behalf of refugees, asylum seekers, and displaced people. Even as we grapple with the myriad challenges of this moment — it is important to take time to catch our breath, reflect on our accomplishments, and gather our energy for the work that lies ahead.
